Symposium Grant Program

The Australian Advisory Committee is pleased to announce that the Symposium Grant Program is now available. This program will award up to 30 scholars a full Symposium registration (up to the value of AUD$1,370.00) to present at RAOM 2017.

Grants will be split into the following categories:

  • 10 registrations for international delegates from developing countries**.
  • 10 registrations for rural or remote domestic delegates*.
  • 10 registrations for Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander delegates.

The Grant Program will be considering abstracts submitted under one of the following themes:

  • Vaccine development
  • Vaccination practices
  • Disease burden and epidemiology
  • Community ear health

The Australian Advisory Committee would like to acknowledge GlaxoSmithKline for supporting this program.

Please note if you have already been accepted as an oral presenter, your original accepted presentation type will apply. All other successful candidates will be required to present a poster.

Eligibility

In order to be eligible for the program, applicants must:

  • Submit an abstract through the Grant Application portal 

*Definitions for rural and remote Australia can be found here.  

**List of developing regions (based on UN definition/listing of developing country or region) can be found here

Grant Application – Submission Instructions

Step 1: Authors will be required to submit an abstract through the online submission form. Please read through the RAOM 2017 Abstract Guidelines document before preparing your abstract.

Step 2: Download the Abstract Template and insert/add your abstract text. Write your abstract following the abstract format & layout guidelines. Save as a .doc  or .docx document to your computer.

Step 3: Click on the button below to complete the Abstract Submission Form. It will be necessary to attach/upload the .doc or .docx copy of your abstract.

Please note: Authors are required to submit an abstract for consideration as a poster (unless they have already been accepted as an oral during the abstract submission process). Please note accepted authors are required to re-submit their abstract to apply for grant.

 Notification of Acceptance

We will be reviewing the first round of applications from Monday 8 May  and authors will be notified of their acceptance as soon as possible.

Applications received after Monday 19 May will not be listed in the program book.
